Laura’s mission is to bring inspiration to others through art and healing. She shares her passion project, SoulFlair, out of the beautiful mountains of British Columbia’s Kootenay region. SoulFlair is a combination of handmade products and beautiful eco-friendly clothing, printed in Canada with her own designs. Laura works hard to be as eco-responsible and aware as possible, sourcing natural materials from ethical suppliers. Her art is inspired from music, travel, and sacred meditations.

As a girl, Laura had a passion for drawing and illustration, finding solace in art when placed in foster care at a young age. Many inner battles including depression, drug and alcohol abuse, and family trauma would later come to challenge her artistry. It wasn’t until after nearly 15 years that Laura found inspiration in the West Coast festival community, music, and sacred meditations. She rediscovered the healing power in art once again.

Laura now thrives as a Life Artist. She is a certified Reiki Master and holder of Art Therapy and Interior Decorating Diplomas, she has years of personal experience and formal knowledge in the sacred and spiritual arts. You’ll find her selling her local creations at festivals and fairs. She also creates large-scale art and decor through her other passion project, Flair Designs, which likewise aims to inspire and encourage others.

Life still has challenges. Recently, Laura has been on a journey of healing. A severe, long-term back injury has taken much of her energy, calling for drastic life changes. Again using art as an integral part of healing, she’s found power in the sacred mandala and brings this message to share:

“We can surpass any obstacle that is put in our path, be it physical, mental, emotional or energetic. We have the power to heal our own selves, and with the help of art and passion guiding us, even the most difficult journey can be both rewarding and joyful.”
